TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Softball released its complete 2024 schedule, announced by the program on Thursday, which includes 31 home games at Hillenbrand Stadium. Pac-12 Network television selections for conference series, along with first pitch times for all games, will be announced at a later date.
Arizona’s schedule features games against 15 2023 NCAA Tournament teams, including four teams who competed at the 2023 Women’s College World Series – Alabama, Stanford, Utah, and Washington. The Wildcats will face two non-conference teams and five Pac-12 teams ranked in the final poll of the 2023 NFCA Top 25.
The Wildcats will open the season with three-straight home tournaments beginning with the third annual Candrea Classic from February 8-11. The Candrea Classic will feature Lipscomb, North Texas, Northern Colorado, and Utah Tech. Arizona is 7-1 in the Candrea Classic, which began in 2022.
Arizona will then host the Bear Down Fiesta from February 15-18 followed by the Hillenbrand Invitational from February 22-25. The Wildcats will welcome Arkansas, Long Beach State, and Nebraska-Omaha for the Bear Down Fiesta. The Hillenbrand Invitational will include Central Michigan, Drake, Indiana, and Marshall.
The Wildcats will hit the road for the Crimson Classic from March 1-3 hosted by Alabama followed by a pair of midweek games against Louisville and Miami (OH) hosted by Louisville on March 5-6. At the Crimson Classic, Arizona will play five games against Alabama, Northern Iowa, and South Alabama.
To open Pac-12 play, Arizona will head to Oregon State from March 8-10 before returning home to host Washington for the Pac-12 home opener from March 15-17. Following the first two weekends of conference play, Arizona will travel to California from March 22-24 then welcome Stanford to Hillenbrand Stadium from March 28-30.
The Wildcats will then head to Utah (April 5-7) and New Mexico State for a midweek double-header in Las Cruces on April 9. Arizona will host back-to-back home weekends against Oregon (April 12-14) and Arizona State (April 19-21) to round out the home conference slate.
The Wildcats will make their final road trip of the regular season when they head to UCLA from April 26-28 and then return home to host GCU on April 30. The second Pac-12 Softball Tournament will be hosted by Stanford from Wednesday, May 8-Saturday, May 11 at Boyd and Jill Smith Family Stadium.
Selection Sunday (May 12) kicks off the start of the postseason, which officially begins May 17-19 for Regionals. Super Regionals will be held May 24-26 and the Women’s College World Series will take place May 30-June 7 in Oklahoma City.
