What to Expect from the Weather in Phoenix this Winter?


According to the forecast, the winter of 2023-2024 promises to be chill but sunny. The days will gradually shorten, which is typical for this time of year. Compared to the previous winter, this season promises to be less dry. This winter’s precipitations are expected to range from 5 to 10 days. The average temperature will be 55°F, making it warmer than last year.

During this winter, you can expect 12 days with temperatures above 59°F and 43 days with temperatures falling below 55°F. The average daylight hours will be 10 hours. December 2023 will open the season with traditional weather.

This long-awaited first month of winter will bring with it typical weather conditions for the season. Already from December 1, temperature indicators will become typical for this time of year.

Temperatures will average around 55°F similar to last December‘s 54°F. Short-term precipitation is forecasted, mainly around December 26, which will not overshadow the Christmas holidays, since on December 24 and 25 the weather will be warm and sunny in winter.

January 2024 will be more typical for the season. Temperatures this month will be low but predictable. Starting January 3, temperatures will range from 34°F to 45°F. The beginning of the month will bring cool and dry weather. Despite some days with temperatures reaching 70°F, this is still lower than the previous winter’s January. Little precipitation is expected in the middle of the month, mainly around January 18.

February 2024 will follow with cool weather. The average temperature this month will be 55°F. The warmest day will be February 2 with a temperature of 75°F, and the coldest day will be February 29 with an average daily temperature of about 39°F.

The forecast for February 2024 shows a favorable change from the same period in the previous 2022-2023 season. Light rainfall is expected, mainly from February 23.
